Highly detailed
recent maps of each of the 31 states and the Distrito Federal are
found on-line in the Atlas por Entidad Federativa of the Secretaría de Comunicaciones y
Transportes. Railways are shown. These zoomable maps are large PDF files
best suited to broadband downloading.
There are
detailed maps of Mexico on-line at Maps of Mexico. Each of the 31 states and the Distrito
Federal is divided into 16 sections, and each section is one web
page. Railways are shown.
Extremely detailed interactive
computer-generated maps from the Instituto Nacional de Estadística, Geografía e
Informática are available on-line at Mapa Digital de México. Other computer-generated maps are at Atlas Nacional Interactivo de México.
There
are links to a wide selection of general
and special-purpose Mexican maps illustrating the
physical and cultural geography of the republic
and many of its states at the Mexico Channel.
